a singaporean view of the sky ....

Maybe I'm going native... I was watching the spitzer telescope high definition podcast from Caltech today and they had a Halloween special where they showed the "black widow nebula":

which actually does look rather red in this image, and my first thought was that it really did not look like an spider but rather like a crab, and that a much better name would be the chilli crab nebula. Yup, I think that means I've ben in this place for a little too long...
