my new Phantom

I'm now the proud owner of a Phantom TA200E motorbike! After searching around a bit I got a nice deal on a 3-year old Phantom in excellent condition. Went for a spin on it, felt great, bought it. I'll collect it on Monday after the paperwork is done. This is great! I'll post a pic as soon as I can. Boy, it is going to be difficult to sleep today...

I finally got my motorbike license on Moday. Yihaaa!!!!!!!!! And on my first attempt, which is not that common here in S'pore. I will be smiling like an idiot for the rest of the week. YES!

taking yourself too seriously

is bad... It makes your life unhappy, because you think everyone is out to get you and all comments are centred on you. And it makes people around you unhappy because they don't know how to react to any of your comments. So why do people keep on doing this after they are past their teens? Is there a maturity gene that never kicks in for some people? I am wondering because one of my frieds is just like this. His opinions are always to be taken seriously and he becomes angry and upset otherwise. Honestly, the world would be a better place if all these people grew up and learn to laugh every now and then. Nothing wrong with admiting you made a mistake, or that your opinion is just one in a million and maybe you are making statements which are too strong for your knowledge of a particular field. It happens. And there is nothing wrong with it. Smile and go on, brother, the world will keep on spining...

Oh! and there will be no update to my running distance this week. My back is killing me and I have decided to take a break for a few days to see if things go back to normal. Looking at a computer screen for 10+ hours a day and then running whenever you have some free time does nasty stuff to you back.
