xbox 360 and dell 20"

well, well, well... A few days ago I bought a 20 inch widescreen Dell monitor, and after a couple of days my birthday came and my girlfriend got me two wonderful gifts: a japanese print and a xbox 360. I love japanese prints, and having an original is great. She has great taste and got me a fantastic print. On the other hand (the dark side of Mr. C if you want) I also like gaming, so the xbox and the 20" monitor are just a dream combination .

The monitor takes independent inputs, so I can have my iMac connected to the DVI input and the console to the VGA and simply switch between the two of them by pushing a button. No plugging and unplugging cables everytime I want to play. Fantastic!

I'm having so much fun it's like I'm back to school. I just had to post this because I'm having so much fun it almost seems unfair, and I should try to compensate for all those times when I complain about life, the universe, and everything...

two amazing experiences

Buddy Guy was playing in Singapore last Friday and I went to the performance with a few friends. I have no words to describe it. I didn't even know you could do that to a guitar. It was a fantastic concert. The guy has endless energy and knows perfectly how to work the crowd. His ability playing the guitar is simply awesome. And the acompanying band was fabulous! The guy at the keyboards provided fantastic entertainment. I will not forget this concert.

The second experience is of the gastronomical type. A few of us went to this restaurant "Aurum", which serves "molecular cuisine"... Very interesting... and tasty! We tried the degustation menu, that was absolutely fantastic. Every item was not only delicious but interesting because of the original combinations and the way the flavours changed as you ate the dish. The main chef is so enthusiastic that you understand the care with which dishes are prepared. I was blown away. Being spanish I was a bit suspicious about the "spanish omelette of the 21st century", a kind of de-constructed spanish omelette... but it was fantastic. I love the place, and I'll be back for sure.

All in all, an unforgettable weekend!
